Hornet

The hornet programme has been a long standing tradition of bumblebee to not only train potential freshmen, but to also allow us to select the best and most dedicated engineers to the team. The hornets will undergo a year long programme where they will get to work with other likeminded individuals to develop their very own AUV from scratch. This will not only test their techinical skills, but their resolve and their determination.

Apart from the techinique aspect, bumblebee is also looking forward to people joining the PR and Business Development team. Applicants for this will be placed on a 6 month probationary period to access their abilities and willingness to contribute.

Recruitment Talks

Catch us at various freshmen orientation camps where we would give a brief overview of waht team Bumblebee does
Week 1 Semester 1

Welcome Tea

Sign up for our welcome tea sessions to learn more about our various subteams, and interact with our members to find out what we do!
Week 1 & 2 Semester 1

Training Sessions & Assignments

Join our training workshops where our members will introduce the various aspects of each subteam. These include mechanical, electrical and software concepts. Interested applicants will have to attempt assignments based on the workshop and submit them before they can proceed to the interview stage
Week 3 Semester 1

Interviews

After the assignments, interested applicants will go through a short interview to access their capabilities.
Week 4 Semester 1 Onwards

Start of Hornet program

Successful applicants will be notified and the program officially begins! Members will work together to develop a low-cost AUV with the guidance from our members
End of Semester 2

Culmination Challenge

After a year of hardwork, hornets will take part in the annual Singapore AUV Challenge (SAUVC) to see how far they have come.

Interested hornets who want to continue will go through another interview before they are accepted as official bumblebee members
