Since RobotX 2022, we have been diligently working to refine and enhance our vehicle in preparation for RobotX 2024. Our efforts can be categorized into three main phases:
Phase One: Comprehensive Testing (Late 2023 – Early 2024)
We conducted extensive testing with BBASV 3.5 to identify and address key design flaws. This phase provided critical insights for the development of our fourth vehicle iteration.
Phase Two: Iteration Development (Early - Mid 2024)
Based on the findings from Phase One, we began development of ASV 4.0. Mechanical and electrical subteams focused on optimizing construction and system performance, while the software subteam ran extensive virtual simulations to ensure robustness.
Phase Three: Physical Trials (Mid - Late 2024)
Initiating physical trials, also known as sea trials, to evaluate the vehicle in real-world conditions. This phase involved testing the vehicle in open waters to replicate the scenarios we anticipate encountering during the competition.
