Team Bumblebee is a student-run, multi-disciplinary robotics team that consists of students from Faculty of Engineering and School of Computing.
This is the vision we have set for ourselves:
Engineering autonomous systems of the future.

For the past five years, we have been building Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to compete in two competitions against world-class teams from around the globe. The competitions are the annual AUVSI Robosub Competition (robosub.org), sponsored by the US Office of Naval Research in San Diego, USA and the annual Singapore AUV Challenge (www.sauvc.org). Also, from 2016 onward, we are planning to expand our playing field to build Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs).

As part of our 2018 team, you will get your hands dirty with cutting-edge technology based on your field of expertise.
- Mechanical engineers will leverage on 3D-printing and CNC machining to create the state-of-the-art mechanical systems that are designed in CAD.
- Electrical engineers will be exposed to the opportunity to design and fabricate Printed Circuit Boards and perform advanced firmware programming.
- Computing students will work on computer vision, artificial intelligence and software engineering to enable the autonomy in the robot.
Finally, for those of you who are business-inclined, you can join our business and marketing arm where you will deal with publicity and sponsorship matters!
